Terms of Service

    Last updated: May 30, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Veterans AI ("VAI", "the Service", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    1. Description of Service

VAI is an educational preparation tool that helps veterans understand the VA disability claims process. The Service analyzes uploaded medical and service records against VA rating criteria (38 CFR Part 4), identifies documentation gaps, and generates draft supporting documents such as nexus letters and personal statements.

VAI is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. VAI is not a medical provider and does not provide medical advice or diagnoses. VAI is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal representation, medical treatment, or a guarantee of any VA rating outcome.

    2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

    3. Account Registration

To access most features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

    4. Subscription Plans and Payments

    VAI offers the following plans:

    • Free: No charge. Includes record upload, condition mapping, and a basic gap overview.
    • Plus ($119 one-time): 60-day access to full analysis, document drafts, and readiness report.
    • Pro ($299 one-time): 120-day access with unlimited analyses, nexus letters, re-analysis, and appeal workflow tools.

All payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing a plan, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method. Prices are in USD and are subject to change with notice.

3-day satisfaction guarantee: If you have not used premium features or downloaded your report within 3 days of purchase, you may request a full refund by contacting us. After premium features have been used, refunds are not available except as required by applicable law.

Plus and Pro are one-time purchases. There are no recurring charges. Access windows are as described on the pricing page.

    5. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Use the Service to submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information to the VA or any government agency.
    • Upload files you do not have the right to share.
    • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying AI models, prompts, or data.
    • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation.
    • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
    • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

    6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all records and documents you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant VAI a limited, non-exclusive license to process and analyze Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to upload Your Content and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

    7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, text, graphics, and other content created by VAI, is owned by VAI and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.

Draft documents generated by the Service (nexus letters, personal statements, etc.) are provided for your personal use in connection with your VA claim. You may edit, print, and submit them to the VA.

    8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

VAI does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular VA rating outcome will result from use of the Service. Analysis results are based on the documents you upload and the AI's interpretation of those documents — they may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Always verify appeal deadlines, regulatory citations, and procedural requirements independently. We strongly recommend working alongside an accredited VSO, claims agent, or attorney.

    9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VAI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VAI IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

    10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VAI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

    11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6–10 and 12 survive termination.

    12. Governing Law and Disputes

Please read this section carefully. It requires most disputes to be resolved by binding individual arbitration instead of in court, and it limits your ability to bring or join a class action. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days — see below.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The seat of arbitration shall be Wyoming, and either party may participate remotely. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or confidential information.

Class-action waiver. Disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. You and VAI each waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action, and the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.

Right to opt out of arbitration. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement (including the class-action waiver) by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name and that you wish to opt out. Opting out affects only this Section 12; the rest of the Terms still apply.

    13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

    Change history

    • May 30, 2026: Added a conspicuous arbitration notice, an explicit class-action waiver, and a 30-day arbitration opt-out; published a direct contact email.
    • May 23, 2026: Initial published version.
